Crossing Abbey Road | by Russell Viers
With earphones in, iPod in hand and "Come Together" playing, I tread on holy ground. This is the spot in London, England trod upon many times by the Fab Four and once captured on film and used on the cover of the Abbey Road Album. It still sends shivers up my back to see this shot. Not that I could ever follow in the footsteps of the John, Paul, George or Ringo (Pete Best, maybe), but this is a shot of me crossing Abbey Road, just outside Abbey Road Studios, down the street from St. John's Wood, not far from the American School in London which is a couple of train stops from Piccadilly Square...where I had lunch.
